All across the country and around the world, medical library staff provide specialized knowledge to assist health care professionals in navigating patient care decisions. To celebrate the contributions of medical libraries and librarians, the Medical Library Association designates the month of October as National Medical Librarians Month. This year’s theme, Critical Knowledge for Challenging Times, highlights the important role that health information professionals serve in their community during an often demanding time of change.
