National Library Week is a national celebration sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) in April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. This year’s National Library Week theme was Libraries Transform. The University Libraries celebrated National Library Week (April 10-16) by creating their own version of ALA’s READ posters using Reese Library faculty and staff.
The goal of the project was to familiarize the students and patrons with library employees, especially those that work behind the scenes. The Libraries also wanted to show students and patrons some of the books that are available in our own collection for check-out. We hope that this series transforms the way you view the University Libraries!
