At the start of the new school year, a new addition made its debut at the Greenblatt Library.

The Greenblatt Market is a long-awaited shop/cafe that is now located on the first floor of the Library. The market features an array of items ranging from energy drinks, water, and sodas to frozen foods, candy, and breakfast items. In addition, some basic necessity items like nail clippers and playing cards are available.

The market is run by Sodexo, which runs many of the other facilities throughout Augusta University. What’s different about this location compared to others is the fact that it is self-checkout. The system is similar to the self-checkouts at many local Circle K gas stations, where a user will put an item on the counter and it will automatically detect the item.

At this time, the market is only taking credit cards and debit cards. The shop also accepts Apple Pay, and will soon accept meal plan payments as well.
Additional signage will be going up soon to further promote the shop’s services to visitors. An official grand opening ribbon cutting and celebration is being planned.
The hours will be the same as Greenblatt Library: 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Noon to 1 a.m. on Sunday.
