Hurricane Katrina, Seven Years Later

As Tropical Storm Issac heads towards the Gulf Coast this week, we are reminded heavily of another storm- Hurricane Katrina.

This week marks the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s landfall on the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath claimed thousands of lives, cost billions in damages, and forever changed they way we respond to disaster. Take a moment this week to reflect on one of the most devastating events in recent US history.
