The Augusta University Libraries are implementing LibKey into their databases to help make access to research easier for students, faculty and others. Libkey helps users link more quickly and directly to articles.

Libkey Nomad, which is a browser extension provided by Third Iron, connects users directly to library research articles and ebooks when searching on websites like PubMed, Google Scholar and publisher websites.
For those who want to add the extension to their browser, the process is simple and can be done in under two minutes.
First, visit the LibKey Nomad website and choose your preferred browser. It provides six different options including: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Brave.

Next, add the extension by clicking “add to browser” and confirming the installation. Once you install, you will then be prompted to choose your organization. You will need to search for and then select Augusta University. Afterward, you will be able to browse.
When you search for information, LibKey Nomad will then automatically show you when the full text of an article is available. As you can see, installation is painless and should take less than a minute to complete.
If you have any questions or concerns about using LibKey Nomad, you can always reach out to an Augusta University Librarian for assistance. That can be done in person, or by clicking the “Ask the Library” button on our homepage.
