Dental Librarian Co-Creates a Micro-Credentialing Program for Dental and Dental Hygiene faculty

Emily Harris, MLIS, Augusta University Dental Librarian, in partnership with the Dental College of Georgia (DCG), recently concluded a successful Micro-Credential Program designed to enhance the research and writing skills of dental and dental hygiene faculty. The six-session program covered a range of critical topics, including: advanced literature searching, research appraisal, citation management, leveraging AI tools for academic purposes, and scientific writing.

Faculty participants actively engaged in hands-on activities and content-related assignments, demonstrating growth in their abilities. The program aims to equip faculty members with the essential tools to conduct rigorous research and produce high-quality scholarly work.
