In the spirit of Halloween, Reese Library’s Government Information Department is currently offering a display based on the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) popular graphic novel, Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic. The graphic novel can be found on the CDC’s Web site at http://www.cdc.gov/phpr/zombies_novella.htm.
According to the CDC, Preparedness 101 “demonstrates the importance of being prepared in an entertaining way that people of all ages will enjoy.” In expanding on this theme, Government Information’s display features items from their collection, both in paper and online, related to various aspects of disaster preparedness, such as nuclear fallout, earthquakes, bioterrorism, and pandemics.
