Melissa E. Johnson joins the faculty at Reese Library as the Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian.
Melissa has an in-depth familiarity with the Augusta State University community as a student and as a former staff member in the English and Foreign Languages Department. Graduating magna cum laude, she received her Bachelor’s in English from Augusta State University and her Master of Library and Information Science Degree from Valdosta State.
During her graduate studies, she completed an internship in the Technical Services Department at Reese Library gaining first-hand knowledge of the journals and databases provided by Augusta State and GALILEO. She later joined the library staff as the Electronic Resources and Serials Assistant. She brings a strong accounting background, excellent technical skills, and creative thinking to this position.
