GRU Libraries get fit!

GRU_Fit_2013GRU Libraries have joined their constituents across both campuses to join the “GRU Fit” project!

The GRU Fit project is planned for the staff at the Georgia Regents University. Staff is divided into walking teams by random assignment. The teams will compete for combined distance (steps) walked per week as measured by pedometers. Participants will wear pedometers each day and their steps will be recorded at the end of every week for 8 weeks.

GRU Fit is part of a larger research project aimed at determining whether a walking program for increasing health and physical fitness awareness will reduce blood pressure (BP) and body weight.

Stay tuned for a lighter and fitter GRU Libraries!
