Greenblatt Library Celebrates National Medical Libraries Month!

The Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Library is celebrating National Medical Libraries Month on Tuesday, October 29, 2013! Come celebrate with us from 1:00-3:00 p.m.!

The Medical Library Association dedicates each October to celebrating National Medical Libraries Month in order to bring attention to the professionals who provide expert assistance to students, faculty, health care providers, and the public in health sciences libraries. This year’s theme “Saving You Time So You Can Save Lives” emphasizes the fact that our knowledge of resources and search skills supports the GRU Enterprise in receiving the highest quality health information available.

The Greenblatt Library Liaison-Embedded Program fosters partnerships by pairing our librarians with each academic unit on the Health Sciences Campus. Our librarians serve as personal resources to the academic units. This service extends to embedded librarians who have office hours in their assigned colleges and departments. Our embedded librarians are active participants in teaching, research, grant writing, and other services in their assigned academic fields. Our librarians are also available to assist researchers with the NIH manuscript submission process to comply with the National Institutes of Health’s Public Access Policy.

In addition to our online chat service (http://www.gru.edu/library/greenblatt/ask/imchat.php) and our email reference service (libref@gru.edu) the Greenblatt Library’s electronic resources are available 24/7, on campus and off campus using your GRU NetID. For more information regarding our services and resources, please visit in person or visit our website at http://www.gru.edu/library/greenblatt/.
