Did you know that you could check out books by your favorite authors and DVDs featuring your favorite actors from the Augusta-Richmond County Library System (ARCPLS)? How about that the Appleby branch, at 2260 Walton Way, is just one block away from the Summerville Campus? All Augusta University faculty, staff, and students are eligible for a free ARCPLS public library card, regardless of where they live. Just fill out an application during the ARCPLS library card drive on October 12, 2016, from 11 am to 1 pm in the JSAC Breezeway or online at http://bit.ly/arcplslibrarycard. Then return your application and bring your JagCard to your local ARCPLS branch library to get your free public library card! You can also fill out the application and receive your card in one stop at your local ARCPLS branch.
Too busy to drop by your local public library often? After receiving your public library card, you can go online to www.arcpls.org for free access to electronic resources that
ARCPLS provides to its users. Want to learn some Dutch, Swahili, or Pashto before your volunteer trip abroad? Take free lessons for these and dozens of other languages through Pronunciator. Looking for great stories to listen to on your way to and from Augusta University? Download free audiobooks from the Georgia Download Destination.
For those of you getting ready to graduate and looking to stay current in your field, ARCPLS also offers some of the same online databases through GALILEO to the public that you may have used in school, such as Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition, and more.
Don’t miss out on free access to worlds of knowledge and entertainment. Sign up for an ARCPLS library card!
