Since 2014, the Augusta University Libraries has hosted its annual Faculty Authors Reception to recognize Augusta University faculty who have written, edited, or chaptered a published scholarly monograph within the past year. This year’s reception will be held on Monday, October 15, 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Historical Collections and Archives Room of the Robert B. Greenblatt, MD Library on the Health Sciences Campus.
You can assist the University Libraries in recognizing faculty authors of recently published scholarly books by submitting bibliographic information to this online form on the Faculty Author Collection research guide.
Greenblatt Library and Reese Library each have a Faculty Author Collection, which is non-circulating. The purpose of maintaining these collections as non-circulating is to preserve the published scholarly books by Augusta University faculty members as a legacy of the individual author and this university. Donations of these books from the faculty to be included in the Faculty Author Collection are greatly appreciated. The University Libraries also gladly accepts donations of books written by faculty to be included in the circulating collections so that the Augusta University community may check out the books to read and appreciate.
Be sure to come and celebrate Augusta University’s faculty and their published scholarly books with us on October 15!
