Librarians Recognized as SoTL Scholars

Reese Library’s Thomas Weeks, Reference and Instruction Librarian, and Melissa Johnson, Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian, along with her co-researcher, Dr. Rhonda Armstrong, Chair of the Department of English and Foreign Languages, received recognition from the Office of Faculty Development and Teaching Excellence for developing and publishing research as fellows of the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) Fellowship program.

Johnson and Armstrong conducted research on designing and teaching an American Literature survey course exclusively with open-access materials. Weeks studied threshold concepts of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Framework for Information Literacy with undergraduate students across several library instruction sessions.
