As we are all now facing the heat of summer in Augusta, the University Special Collections and Archives has turned its minds to cooler times.
In processing the papers of former Augusta College President Gerald Robins, we discovered a collection of Christmas cards sent out by Dr. and Mrs. Robins during their tenure at the university.
Spanning 1957 to 1970, these cards highlight a variety of notable landmarks on the Summerville Campus, including the Administration Building (Payne Hall), the President’s Home (Benet House), the Bell Tower, and the then new Fine Arts Center. You can view the entire collection of cards on Scholarly Commons.
