The school week at Greenblatt Library started with several officers from the Augusta University Police Department meeting with students, staff, and faculty in a comfortable environment.

The officers set up at a table near the Creative Technology Lab. They used the opportunity to talk with patrons about the services AUPD provides, address any concerns, and make small talk with the community.
The goal was to provide officers and students with a comfortable environment to interact.
In addition to the coffee and conversations, the AUPD Therapy Dog, Charlie, walked around the first floor of Greenblatt receiving pets and meeting students.
The AU Libraries and AUPD will host another Coffee with a Cop at Reese Library from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Charlie is expected to be there as well.
