AU Libraries celebrates our graduates

We at the library want to take a moment and celebrate all the students who have and are about to graduate this year. The hard work of our students is evident to us at the library as our study rooms are filled, our collections used, and our librarians consulted. The disappearance of familiar faces stings a little but is softened by the joy of knowing we will be helping new students discover the wonders of our resources in the coming semester. This year, we are ecstatic about celebrating not just the students who use the library, but several who have become a part of our team. Not only are a few of our student workers graduating this year, but some of our staff and faculty have also achieved new heights in their education.

The Augusta University Libraries celebrated the graduation of seven of our faculty, staff and student workers. AU LIBRARIES / Courtney E. Berge

We wanted to give a special gift to these graduates who have served the library and university so well, so we offered them the opportunity to add a book to our collection in their name. These books will be affixed with a bookplate noting their name and graduation year. The books that have been added to our collection this year are:

  • “The Priory of the Orange Tree” by Samantha Shannon
  • “Winning the War in Your Mind” by Craig Groeschel
  • “Encyclopedia of Counseling” by Howard Rosenthal
  • “The Art of Futurama: A Visual History of Matt Groening’s Cult Classic Animated Series” by Matt Groening

Here are all of our AU Libraries graduates:

  • DJ English (December ’24)
  •  Ariel Harper (May ’25)
  • Adrienne Hayes (Summer ’25)
  •  Shandria Hill (May ’25)
